Candidate will provide technical support to a customer for post-installation issues including initial problem assessment, diagnosis and resolution in the industrial automation field. Involves phone support and will require periodic customer-site field service and sales.
Position Responsibilities
Technical Service on our product:
- In-house and on-site training of customers.
- Technical service & support by phone or customer site.
- Detailed documentation of customer issues.
- Representative and internal staff training.
- Expand technical service department
Sales Support:
- Field sales calls with our representatives
- Travel with Demo Vehicle
- Trade show setup and attendance
- Application support and proposals
- Amount of travel: Approx. 25%. Mostly air travel, plus occasional international travel
Required skills:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a technical / electrical field
- Strong customer service skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- 2-4 years experience within a technical support role, diagnosing and resolving technical problems in the industrial automation field.
- PLC & CNC programming
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical & technical skills
- Well organized and self motivated
- Able to prioritize a high workload
- Flexible and supportive approach to team work
- Articulate, well presented and comfortable in front of customers
- Spanish a plus
