SCHMIDT Technology offers the highest level of Press control safety available, which meets or exceeds all global standards.

The PRC70 controls the process while the Safety Module monitors the station and ensures safe operation. The two monitored valves with spool position sensors operate the press and provide pneumatic redundancy. Not only one, but two valves must shift simultaneously for the press to cycle. This valve cuts air supply off and the press is depressurized in case malfunction is detected.

Ram position is monitored also via redundancy; pressure and position sensors. A detailed error & fault list will indicate the type of failure. Cycle initiation typically occurs via two hand control or light curtain. Pressing the E-Stop of course aborts a cycle in progress and also depressurizes the press.

The PRC70 has a lockout key switch so no changes can be made by the operator. NOTE: third party protection needs to be provided separately from this control package.
